Artist's Description
A photo by Lincoln Rogers of American Bison napping with their calves in the warm spring sunshine beside a stream inside the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA. Using photo software, the image has been textured and colored to represent an old, vintage-style photograph that could have been taken during the early years of Yellowstone National Park from the late 1800's to the early 1900's.
According to Wikipedia - The American Bison (bison), also commonly known as the American buffalo, is a North American species of bison that once roamed the grasslands of North America in massive herds, became nearly extinct by a combination of commercial hunting and slaughter in the 19th century and introduction of bovine diseases from domestic cattle, and has made a recent resurgence largely restricted to a few national parks and reserves. Their historical range roughly comprised a triangle between the Great Bear Lake in Canada's far northwest, south to the Mexican states...

You nailed the tone of a vintage photograph here lincoln. Love the depth of field so you don't get distracted by the bison in the background. Excellent work.

So pleased to get this feedback from you, Jamie! Thanks a ton, my friend!
Lianne Schneider
Love everything you do Lincoln...and this is very true here as well. I have a fascination with these creatures - my Native American totem is the white buffalo so there's a special appeal. Love your processing here. F/V

You are so kind, Lianne. They are amazing animals, aren't they?
