Artist's Description
An authentic hitching post constructed in historically accurate fashion invites visitors to tie up their horses for a spell and visit the log cabin home in the background. The log construction home is a faithfully restored and relocated house from the early days of Texas ranching in the American Old West. This scene is nearly identical to what a real cowboy from the Old West would have seen if they rode up to this Texas residence on business or was just there on a friendly stay for a home cooked meal and good company. You can find this hitching post and ranch house at the National Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock, Texas (USA).
