Artist's Description
An old wood gate stands partway open, beckoning anyone who notices to enter. This wood gate and old adobe construction is part of the historical Bents Old Fort in La Junta, CO. The current fort is a faithful and period correct reconstruction of the early 18th century Bents Fort that stood in the same spot as a primary way station and trading post on the old Santa Fe Trail between Santa Fe, Mexico and St. Louis, MO.
