Description
This abstract photo by Lincoln Rogers is a close up of raging waters roaring over a waterfall with accompanying spray, mist, sunlight and shadow in the background. The abstract nature of the close up creates a primal feel of being present during the second day of biblical creation, when God separated the waters with the firmament (the heavens or sky), as it states in the book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 6 through 8 - Then God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
This photo by Lincoln Rogers was taken of an actual waterfall located in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA.
